HOW THE BOOK ADDRESSES CASEL'S SOCIO-EMOTIONAL SKILLS
The project is based on the book " The Octopus with Colorful Legs " written by the creators Claudia Waldmann and Rafaela Furlan , for their children.
It was born from the desire to teach behavioral skills to children and show that each one has superpowers within them to deal with everyday challenges.
It brings 8 behavioral skills ( soft skills ), presented in a playful way and in accessible and practical language.

"The project based on the book "The Octopus with Colorful Legs" was an absolute success. It allowed children to explore their emotions and everyday "superpowers" in a fun and accessible way. The various activities motivated all the children to participate actively and promoted the development of numerous skills: language, self-confidence, creativity, and respectful interactions."
This enriching project, from both an educational and personal perspective, left a lasting positive impression on the children, their families, and the entire teaching staff.
Stéphanie Marçal, kindergarten teacher of French Lyceum in Copenhagen, Denmark
As an assistant teacher in the class where Claudia led her project, I observed a remarkable transformation in the children. Thanks to her kind and playful approach, the children now understand their emotions much better, know how to verbalize them with ease, and actively work on them. They even use the 'superpowers' presented in the book in their daily lives, whether to manage a conflict, encourage a classmate, or express their gratitude.
Amira Kamel, assistant teacher in kindergarden of French Lyceum in Copenhagen, Denmark

Claudia came to my class to present her album "The Octopus with Colorful Legs" to CE1 children. She has a great rapport with the children and knows how to put them at ease when talking. It was a very rich and interactive experience!
Christine Bonneau, elementary school teacher of the French Lyceum in Copenhagen, Denmark

"My son participated in Claudia's project at the French Lycée."
We quickly noticed positive changes, especially in his emotional intelligence. He began to express emotions such as fear, joy, and empathy, and demonstrated more kindness and empathy toward others—even asking, “Are you tired, Dad?”
Now he is more aware of his feelings, and we, as parents, are learning how this influences his behavior. Claudia's book will help us continue this progress at home."
Jaroslav Pontus, parent of a student
"Being able to manipulate words like perseverance or empathy at age 4, knowing exactly what they mean, is simply incredible. Thank you so much for making our children so aware of the world around us!"
Noëlle Loiseau, mother of student

“@Claudia Waldmann you are my hero of the day :) oh my gosh the endless stories about the octopus I heard at dinner... you wouldn't believe :)"
Ivo Grigorov, parent of a student
"The encounter with Claudia was a very beautiful moment of sharing.
Her reading aloud, accompanied by the octopus mascot, managed to captivate the students. The exchanges on the theme of difference and the superpowers that each one can put to the service of others were rich and full of meaning.
The intervention, conducted in French and then in English, was a real differentiator: it allowed students to participate actively and feel fully included. Thanks to her command of Portuguese, French, English and German, Claudia was able to create a warm, inclusive and dynamic atmosphere!"
